Greetings to you brothers and sisters in Christ, I trust that you are doing well by the grace of God. Please forgive the long silence since our last blog post. Our family has been on the home front for a few months now, and we have been quite busy with life back in America.
When we started our ministry in 2010, we were impressed to use the name 3 Going Forward as we were impressed that that name accurately represented our family’s decision to go into full time mission service. We never though that one day the name 3 Going Forward would no longer be adequate to describe our family. God has been truly good to us, after a 12 year break, our family was blessed in August 2013 with a new son, Judah Christian Simpson.
The birth of our new son was truly a miraculous story, as he was a product of divine intervention, and a direct answer to prayer. What is particularly interesting is that he was a product, not of our prayers alone, but of the prayers of some of our friends in India. A friend of ours in an Indian village asked us one day,” why do you only have 1 child?”. My wife Marion responded that God had only blessed us so far with only one child, and she further stated that it was not a problem for us, as we were quite content with that arrangement so far. The young lady responded “that is not good, my church family and I will pray, and then God will bless you with another child.” We assured her that we were quite content, but she assured us that it was our time, and that God would bless us with a new child as soon as we went back home to the US. Unknown to us, this young lady and her church members met every week for cottage meetings, and one of the topics of prayer was our family having a new baby. Needless to say, after a 12 year break, and to our utter amazement, we were blessed with a new baby boy upon our return to the US, just as we were told by this young lady. As a family we go to heathen lands to teach people about Jesus, but there are many times when we are taught by others about the great God who we serve.
As for our family, we are still committed to Mission service. Marion and our new baby, Judah, will be on the home front for some time until he gets a bit older. My older son Noah and I, will still be taking mission trips back to the continent of Asia from time to time, to continue the support our various mission projects that we have started.
After serving as missionaries for the last few years, we always had a vision to help other people who were mission minded to get involved in the work. As a result of this vision, we have recently launched a new ministry named The Eleventh Hour Workers. This ministry is now a part of 3 Going Forward, and will be a medium to: train, equip and motivate lay people for service, as well as to facilitate mission trips around the world. Please keep this new project in your daily prayers, as we work together to finish the work in our generation. May God continue to richly bless you and your family, sincerely,
