Finishing the Work - Spring 2020

It was some nine years ago, that after much prayer and contemplation my family and I responded to the call to serve as missionaries in the country of India. The time spent in this first mission field was the highlight of our Christian experiences. The miracles that we witnessed, the success of our church planting projects, meeting new lifelong friends, and the transformative power of dedicated missionary service, were all blessings that we received, and blessings that we wanted to help others to obtain.

The Eleventh Hour Laborers was started as an extension of our vision for mission work that we received several years ago. The thought process was to start a mission organization that would facilitate mission trips to various countries around the world.

The goal was to facilitate the kind of deep, memorable and life changing opportunities that can only be found in grass roots mission service.

We wanted to help lay members primarily, to get involved in active service.

Our mission trips would serve as a kind of training ground, teaching new missionaries to conduct evangelism meetings, health seminars, door to door evangelism, and various other facets of missionary work.

There is an adage that states that little becomes much when it’s placed in the Lord’s hand. Our vision has now become sight, as we feel so blessed to see many lay-people especially, from various socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, partnering together and collaborating for a finishing of the Gospel work.

Our aim is work in close partnerships with the Conferences and Unions in various Divisions in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and to understand what are the greatest areas of need, and how we can help and serve the church to fulfill her awesome destiny outlined in Revelation 14:6-12.

This edition is our first issue, of prayerfully more to come. We hope that this magazine will serve as a tool to inspire and encourage you and your family, to live for the Lord and to engage in outreach and missionary work.
